SUSTAINABLE︎

The greenest power is the power you do not use, so we invest in high efficiency kitchen equipment and lighting, compost our waste, use recyclables, and teach our staff and customers on small changes they can all afford to make a difference.

CARBON NEUTRAL︎

After maximizing our efforts to reduce consumption and waste, we power our restaurant by wind only, and offset the rest by planting trees. We were the first restaurant in NYC to be 100% Carbon Neutral and hope one day to actually be carbon negative.︎

The arts are refreshing, invigorating, they’re why we live in this city, and a good reason to get out to enjoy yourself. We exhibit a new local artist every three months and host some of NYC’s finest jazz every Sunday night. Stop in for an art opening or to soak up some live music.

We don’t only grow our own veggies, we recycle them. Americans throw away more food than paper, plastic, metal or glass, and restaurants are a big part of that waste. Rather than throw our offcuts away, Pisticci collects, composts, and fertilizes with them. This makes our food more nutritious, keeps it out of landfills, and brings our consumption habits full circle.︎ ︎
